A very short Summary of the movie:
The film’s main focus is on a plain black cursed videotape which contains a random series of disturbing, somewhat gory, grainy, black and white images. After watching the tape, the viewer receives a phone call in which a voice condemns the viewer to death in exactly seven days. Any photographs taken of anyone who has seen the tape the people have blurry faces. No matter how hard people try to escape death, 7 days after watching the tape they all die and have a terrified look on their faces.
The tape was made because of this little girl named Samara. She is who comes out of the TV and kills people. The movie is centered around a girl Katie who dies in the beginning, her aunt, and her cousin Aidan. They all end up seeing the movie and its over 7 days to race to figure out how to stop Samara from getting them.
I do not want to give too much away if you have not seen it, so this is all I will say!
My opinion:
I am not saying that this is the best storyline of any scary movie I have ever seen, but this movie gave me nightmares for weeks! This movie was so scary the first time I saw it I think I covered my face and watched the corner of the screen more than I have ever done with any movie before. This is a GREAT combination of loud noises/thing popping out, psychological scariness, scary/creepy looking things/people, and gore.
A great Halloween party scary movie night movie:
I strongly recommend having a bunch of people over, making some popcorn, and watching this movie. Everyone will be jumping and covering their faces.
