"The Black Gate"

Hello Blog Readers,
As I said before I would be back with my opinion on the rest of those cheap movies I bought as I watched them. Latest update I watched, “The Black Gate.”
Here is a little IMDB.com information about the movie:
First, IMDB barely has any information on this movie which should be red flags right there that this movie is going to be a horrible snooze fest.
It is also known as “The Darkening”
Released: 1995
Director: William Mesa
Writers: John G. Jones (writer)
Victoria Parker (writer)
Starring: Jeff Rector ... Scott Griffin
George Saunders ... Justin Reid
Rebecca Kyler Downs ... Rebecca Lacey
Red Montgomery ... Katherine

This movie was seriously almost more ridiculous than the Pumpkin Karver. One of the lead characters actually falls in love with a ghost and they end up kissing. The movie line is kind of confusing, and it is not scary at all. Its attempts to be scary are just thrown off by over-acting and horrible graphics, and even the make-up to make one character look like the devil is actually kind of funny. I truly understand why it was a $1.99 at Blockbuster. The back stories going on do not really work. I really wish I could have that hour and a half back on my life.
I would give the movie zero stars, while other ratings I looked at where not much hire. In 1995 they were making WAY better movies than this so I would recommend that you go and watch those! Sorry to disappoint in case you wanted to go try and by it and have a super cheap movie night.
Well that’s 3 horrible down, one more to go! I will let you know as soon as I watch that one.
Halloween is in 10 days!!!

Jennifer
