Scary movie watchers,
Over the weekend I was out hunting for a few scary movies to purchase. First I started out by going to Best Buy because they always used to have really cheap movies, and I was really let down by their selection. The cheapest ones I could find were $8.99 for pretty old movies. Usually they have sales every week, but those were not on scary movies and still the cheapest of those was $6.99. I prefer to buy movies for $3-$5 because I know if I rent them I am going to forget and have late fees, might as well expand my movie collection. As I was walking out I happened to walk past a bin that said $4.99 and up, out of there I found a movie called “Lets Scare Jessica to Death.” Still have not watched it though.
After Best Buy we went to Blockbuster to see if they had any of the previously viewed sales going on. They actually have a great deal right now, for $25 you get two things of popcorn some soda and candy and 5 movies! I did not want to spend $25 though. So my roommate found “Ed Gien” for $3.99, and I found “The Pumpkin Karver”(yes, carver with a “k”), and “The Black Gate” for $1.99 each! I was super excited. So far we have watched:
Ed Gein:
Ed Gein is the person that both “Psycho” and “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” were based after. The movie itself sucked, the acting was bad, it was all unknown actors. The movie itself is quite old as well. The interesting part was to see what really happened because those were actual events and real people.
The Pumpkin Karver:
Horrible movie, doesn’t make sense. DO NOT WATCH IT! I actually laughed a lot during it more than I was scared.
More movie reactions to come!
Jennifer
